During the first few weeks of school, Walker homerooms held a door decorating contest based on the school's summer reading assignment
"A Long Walk to Water" by Linda Sue Park.
My homeroom came up with a wonderful design idea!
The book recounts life events of two young people dealing with the water crisis in Africa.
The flag is made up of 12 separate opinion proofs that were assembled to create the flag of Sudan.

We also created a water pump that has the remaining opinion proofs pouring out of it.
Thanks homeroom, for your hard work and creativity...and for winning the 7th grade award.
